last night as i lay in bed

she threw a brick through my window

as i tried to recapture sleep

i was cut by the shards of glass

this morning in the clarity of day

i bricked up my window

if she cannot see me

she cannot aim

as the window boarded

as bricks versus bricks

i can sleep tranquil
